Pinto Bean Dip


Easy, quick and delicious, pinto bean dip tastes better than the bean dip you bought in the little yellow and blue Frito Lay can found in the chip aisle. Eat with your favorite chips, vegetables or spread it on a wrap with cooked peppers and onions. 

Why make it? This dip is packed with fiber, protein and calcium this dip is not only tasty but nutritious. 

Here's what you need:

1 can pinto beans (organic)

1/8 cup organic tahini

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp coriander

1/2 tsp onion powder ( or use garlic powder) 

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp salt


Here's what you do:

1. Rinse then soak the beans in water for 10 mins as you prep other ingredients.

2. Add tahini, olive oil and spices to a food processor. 

3. Add beans and process for a min on high.  The dip will be on the thicker side.

4. If too thick, add a tsp more olive oil or a tablespoon of cold water.

5. Taste, add more salt if needed.

6. Keep in a covered container in fridge.
